One of those evenings where there seems to be no one to talk to I guess. Yesterday I'd dropped into see Doug and Tiffany, and Doug's computer had died. Tiffany was trying to revive it and eventually I came home and got a version of Windows 2000 which made the OS work again but didn't solve the original problem of the non-operative CD-ROM's. That took quite some time and so I didn't get home until about midnight.
Today was mostly ok although I got into work late because of being up late the night before. I had one successful reaction, although it is only a side project so I suppose I shouldn't get very excited. I talked to my boss for some time, and he mentioned that there was going to be a site visit by the DOE (Department of Energy) people in a few weeks. Hopefully I can get some nice visual results by that point, I am however going to be out of town in LA that weekend, so I guess I'll see how it turns out.
This evening I had my first Business Communications class, and it went reasonably well. There was the dreadful spectre of group assignments however, something I really do loathe. Maybe I'm just not a team player, although I can be when I have to I think. I just prefer to do things myself when I can so that I'm not relying on others for critical things.
Tiffany had had a really awful day today, so I didn't bug her and then when I tried calling Ally she was asleep and not overly communicative, so I gave up there. It could be somewhat depressing that I've never had more than one visitor in my apartment, but I suppose I'm used to that, and it wasn't any different in Miami. Maybe it's because my friends think it's to far to walk over, perhaps it's because I don't have a TV or a game system to play, maybe also is the fact that I'm willing to go to friends places but not the other way. Oh well, the evening classes will keep me occupied a little more at least.
