I was in the laundry on Friday afternoon when I saw a notice tacked to the wall. It was a casting call for “The Vagina Monologues” to be held in early November. I was thinking a lot about give it a shot, but the more I think about it the less sure I am. I managed to get the copy of “The Vagina Monologues” from the University library over the weekend, and I read that. It's not long, and it really made for interesting reading. Of late I've been thinking about vaginal issues, and I suppose this is yet another piece of the puzzle. I'm not going to spell out in big letters why this is an issue for me (hint : pre-op), except to say that it is an issue. I suppose the downstairs issue is one which I wish would just be resolved, and for about US$12,000 it could be. Of course I'm not likely to have money like that for who knows how long, barring a sudden lottery win.
I've been looking at the post-op photos from Anne Lawrence's web page, and they are a lot of help. How many of us have seen dozens of different vulva's in real life? It reminds me a lot of “The Vagina Monologues” where; discounting lesbians, many women don't know that vulvas come in all sorts of shapes, colours and sizes, and I'm in the same boat there too.
This weekend has been ok, Tiffany finally finished her AI program on Saturday evening, and so a bunch of us went out last night. We stayed out pretty late and I was really zonked this morning after getting home at a fairly unusual time.
