A Farewell to Arms

Well, today I had my last class of the semester, the final Econ 101 class. It was on Government borrowing and the national debt, really quite interesting stuff with obvious real world bearing. Next semester I'll be taking Econ 102 which is a general Macroeconomics class which will cover that sort of stuff more in depth. Originally I had that scheduled in the afternoon, Monday Wednesday and Friday but that meant I lost a big two hour block every other day because of my Business Accounting class which came straight afterwards. So, this morning I had my economics class changed to 8 am Mon/Wed/Fri and I just know that next semester when I have to get my ass out of bed to trudge through the snow, I am just going to kick myself.

Today was ok, I wasn't particularly busy as I was thinking a lot about a new paper I'd found. It's very interesting (I won't go into the details) but I think it may be worth perusing, alas I'm only one person and can only do so much. Ironically this research has ended up with me being paid the least, working the hardest and being inconvenienced the most. Oh hurrah for being a post-doc.
I dropped by Judy on Monday night and she was very mellow. I learnt later that her grandmother had died and since this is her last official semester she isn't certain if she'll be coming back next year. I talked to a few friends of hers and we may have a dinner for her with some friends next week. It'd be a nice get together and we might go out afterwards as Doug, tiffany and I all have our last finals on Tuesday.
