This afternoon I have an accounting quiz, as part of my Bus221 course. Taking the class has been interesting, as I've never had to do anything regrading accounting ever before. The course goes in hand with the Economics and Business Communication courses I took last semester (I scored A's) and in the Fall semester I think I'll take “Introduction to Management” and “Macro Economics”. It's all part of continuing to learn, something which I enjoy and something which never looks bad on a resume. I can't post-doc forever, and to be honest, as much as I loathe it, management is where the money is.
I guess one of the good side-effects of this, is that I've actually started balancing my cheque account. I'm trying to save up money for SRS and I'm doing ok so far, but it's a good idea to track where the money is going to. The trip to Eastern Montana sucked a lot out, but it was worthwhile.
Work is coming along, Tuesday and Wednesday's are the worst as I have to put up with undergrad students who work in the lab. Sometimes they're ok, and sometimes they're terrible, either way it's stressful.
