9 pm – Monday 12th July 2004

Acceleration to be continued.

OK, the last little while will require a bit of filling in. After the 4th July weekend, it was nice to have a short week ahead of me. On Tuesday after work I went with Bonnie, Rafaella and Judy to see Michael Moore's “Fahrenheit 9-11” which was interesting. I liked it, and the way the film alternated between tragic and comic was a little unexpected. Judy dropped Rafaella off and Bonnie and I hung out at her place for a while.

On Wednesday Bonnie and I went to the recycling centre and then over to *-Mart to pick up some food for a dinner party which I was having Thursday night.

I left work a little early in order to get the roast started in time, but I needn't have done so as the roast was small and didn't need long to cook. Bonnie came over about 6:30 pm, although both of us were stressed out from work and so we needed time to chill. I gave her a back rub and later I took a nap and a shower to come down. The dinner party was fun, Katie and Laurie came as did Judy. Rafaella never showed up and Syd was at work and wasn't able to come until later. I had originally invited Wendy, Abbey and Andrea, but they hadn't been able to come. We had cheesecake for dessert and we all hung out until about 11 pm. I crashed out and left a huge stack of dirty dishes sitting in the sink.

Friday was a fairly regular day at work, it was payday which was slightly depressing as I had less in my pay cheque due to FICA and Medicare deductions which I can never make use of. The night was not good because I couldn't sleep much and was having sad thoughts.

Saturday of course brought a happier dawn, although I didn't get much of a chance to sleep in. Bonnie attends the Universal Unitarian church and the new pastor was being “installed”. This is Lois who did the sermon at Pride a month or so ago. We were both dressed quite nicely, and I had broken out my one and only light blue summer dress. The ceremony was out on a farm at 11 am in the valley, and we made it out there with a few minutes to spare. The day was really gorgeous and we sat on a hay bale as we'd forgotten to bring chairs. The Universal Unitarians Church is not a Christian church, more of a humanist organization. It was very nice and after that was a lunch and we socialized with all the people that Bonnie knew.
