Kicking my own ass.

Sometimes I wince at my own stupidity. It's not deliberate mind you, but just things which unintentionally hurt someone I care about so much. I can take a very nice day, and ruin it by saying something unintentionally hurtful.

I made it to Oakland where Bonnie met me, and that was very nice. I had a good flight, well as good as it can be when one is flying for 8 or 9 hours and waiting in airport lounges for almost as long. The greasy skin feeling is the worst of all I think. Kay and Pierre picked us up which was very nice of them, and we drove back to Palo Alto. I really wasn't the greatest conversationalist, but I think they all understood. I showered, ate and afterwards felt much better. We listened to Kay and Pierre tell us about their trip to Boston which sounded like a lot of fun. I crashed out fairly on, but found a burst of energy when Bonnie and I were alone in the dark.

The next morning was busy, Kay dropped us off at the U-Haul place about 9 am and we picked up the truck. Pierre was at home and gave us a hand moving the big oak desk and the other pieces into the truck. There were a few exciting moments on the way to Berkeley, but we made it without any major incidents. It was quite hot, but everything fitted quite nicely and Kay gave us a hand moving the desk. It was good to have that section of the move out of the way, so Bonnie and I crashed out on her bed and rested.

Later on in the afternoon (~ 3 pm) we took the truck to the Berkeley depot, and that took a long time just to get it returned. We walked down to Good Vibrations and did some toy shopping.
