I have just finished performing the great and arduous task of defoliating. Ever since my doctor boosted my T levels, I have quite naturally experienced a great resurgence in follicle sprouting. In contrast, my time spent on personal maintenance has decreased in direct proportion to the level in which my workload has increased. Hence I have been quite fuzzy and that is why my bathroom sink is full of eyebrow lashes.
Yesterday (Monday) I arrived at the lab before 9 am, and did not leave until 11 pm. This was partly taken up with half an hour at the gym, in addition to an hour for class, but neither of those really count as relaxation time per se.
Today I received my proposal assignments for the review committee, and I booked my airline flight. I need to repeat this for the second review committee also. Things are slowly coming together on that front, as well as in regards to other due dates. I'm supposed to give a plenary seminar on April 1, so I need to work on that. I am also fishing around for people to work in the lab over the summer, but I do not know how that will yet turn out.
This evening I had my taxes done for me by an accounting student, and it turns out I should get quite a lot more back than usual. This will go out the door as quickly as it arrives, as I need to schedule an appointment with my optometrist. I talked to Mum and Dad tonight since the phoned to wish me happy birthday for tomorrow. It was sweet of them; I just hope I get enough sleep so that I can enjoy the day properly.
