From here to infinity.

It's a slow Monday here in Montana. The University atmosphere feels like an abandoned condom, limp and lifeless, filled only with dregs. The rabid atmosphere fuelled by caffeine and insomnia has fallen apart like a sand castle before the tide. I'm sitting at my desk, unmotivated and uncaring.

On Friday, the last of the exams finished, and I received my grade for the biochemistry exam (99/100). The traffic was a nightmare as parents and extended families poured into town for Graduation the next day. Judy arrived at my lab around 4 pm, and after I went home to get changed, we headed out for ice cream. Kadie met up with us on the way to Greta's birthday party, and Judy headed off to her own bash. Later on Kadie and I walked downtown around 10 pm, and it was surprisingly quiet. We ended up back at her place, but first I dropped by Ryan's to say hello to Ryan, Judy and Misty.

The next day Kadie wanted to hike up one of the nearby mountains, so I decided to go as well, and Kadie's friend Adam made three. I won't go into too many details, but it was a 5-mile hike with a 4000-foot elevation gain. Also a mile of the hike at 8000 feet was through loosely packed snow, with no well-defined trail. Although I complained a lot, we did make it to the top of Bald Mountain in about 3 miles. Then it was back down again, which was just as hard because of the loose rocks and snow. My hiking shoes were completely destroyed by the time I got home six hours later.

Suffice to say, that on the biggest party night of the year Kadie and I were limping around her house eating pizza and groaning a lot. Mind you, we did watch Mystery Science Theatre (The Movie), which was quite hilarious so it wasn't completely bad. Judy was out getting destroyed with Ryan and Brandon, and I had a slew of phone messages the next day.

The next day I could hardly get out of Kadie's bed, but around 11 am we headed around the corner to Ryan's house. I took photos of Judy hugging the toilet before I got her a drink of water and got the vomit out of her. I threw a shoe at Ryan to wake him up, and managed to get him right in the balls. After a few phone calls, we had Depu pick Judy up, got here stuff together and figured out when she had to be out of town. I'm a bit lame when it comes to drinking, but I think I am a good friend.
