Well, I'm in Salt Lake City, but Ill have to shut down here in a minute for take off. We wouldn't want to afflict the airplane with our pilot-killing rays. Ok, so I'm up and running again, but I'll be back in Montana soon enough, so I should make this a quick recap.
I had an exam in class this morning, but first I trundled my luggage down the hill in preparation for my trip. The exam went off without a hitch, and then I ran to catch the bus. I talked with Judy briefly, and then spent about 3 hours on the road to Phoenix airport. I managed to get most of the exams marked during the long wait at the airport, because of the poor overlap between buses I had almost 4 hours to kill. The flight to Salt Lake was mercifully quick, and now I am on the final leg.
Kadie will be picking me up when I fly in, so I am very grateful for that. I hope we don't have a repeat of the fight we had in San Francisco. I am really in need of some peaceful “quality time”, so I am hoping that we can just curl up and go to bed. I talked with Robin, so hopefully catch up and have a few drinks, and I talked to Jen as well. Last night I talked with Bonnie, as she called me back. Apparently she and Lauren have just finished moving again. The old place had a string of problems, culminating in a mold infestation, so they have moved to a new and bigger apartment in North Oakland.
I certainly hope that this weekend will be nice and mellow. I really need a break before the Xmas onslaught begins. I have to prepare the advanced synthesis laboratory in the month break over Xmas, and that will be quite stressful enough. I suppose it is a good thing to be pushed to one's limits, but they are limits for a reason.
As for the title of today, I received my copies of the first two volumes of El Goonish Shive, and I cannot wait for the rest to be released.
