The curse of humankind.
I'm in Montana, enjoying the brisk weather and the bright sun. Kadie is getting a haircut, and so I'm typing away as she gets a new style. It's been a nice time and we've been taking plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. Yesterday she had classes and I caught up with my students and a few other professors. Last night we stayed home to talk and watch some "Azumanga Daioh". Today we walked through the cold mountain air to have coffee and breakfast at a favoured diner downtown.
Later we walked around enjoying the morning sun, and headed back up the hill. Tonight we may catch up with Robin and Jen, and possibly have a few drinks to boot.
It's nice not having to worry about classes. I should be using this time to prepare for my next few weeks of classes, but instead all I want to do is rest. The new chemistry building is due to be occupied beginning December 13th, and I am “champing at the bit” to get started as soon as possible. I have recruited a few students, and so I want to get a flying start over the Xmas break. I have a lot of ideas, but so far all I can do is sit and dream...
