It has been quite an exciting week, and so many things have been going on, that this is a perfect time to summarize them.
Kadie is now seeing a girl I knew in Bozeman named Andrea. Andrea is a drummer and a skier, so she should suit Kadie much better than I. Nevertheless I feel a bit sorry for Andrea, but the person she is dating for the first time in three years is Kadie. I am certain that it will be exciting and emotionally intense, and very, very dramatic (and by dramatic, I do not mean in a positive way).
I had a date on Thursday night with a woman by the name of Paula. She is supposed to be a real player in the tiny pool of local lesbians. We had a nice time, but no real sparks flew. I am such a huge nerd, that the crunchy, granola types don't really do it for me. Sometimes I think it must be so much easier to be straight.
Kadie deleted her entry from Facebook. Who knows what that means, but maybe it's a sign she wants to move on, and prevent me from knowing what is going on. I was the first to list our breakup on their, so I feel pettily vindicated.
Robin and Dee are in a very odd space. They have broken up, but still live together. Robin has the hots for Kadie, but that had cold water thrown on it as soon as Kadie had other offers. Suffice to say, Robin is pissed off with her, but that happens a lot.
Shelly may be a seriously potential fling for me, but I need to talk to her. She wants something more serious, but everyone is telling me to go for it, so I suppose I will. We will be having coffee on Monday afternoon, and I need to make an honest pitch then.
Alex is about to go to Las Vegas with Sherri this Thursday through Sunday. I have become much closer to Alex in the past week, we hung out after last Friday's party, and then we spent most of today hanging out together. We had breakfast, saw the guy from Hotel Rwanda speak, and then in the afternoon watched "The Good Shepherd", which was a rather weak film.
Last Friday, there was a party at Alex's place, and in the melee that ensued, I ended up kissing Shelly. We need to sit down and see what can work between us, because both of us are crazy workaholics, and she wants a stronger commitment.
I really want to get a Kawasaki Ninja sports bike. Paula offered to drive down to Phoenix to help pick it up if I could find one, but I don't want to put Shelly out. It's all a careful balancing act.
I am still super-excited that I got my new computer system set up. My old Dell machine was 3.5 years old, and was having persistent hard drive crashes, so it was only a matter of time for me to transfer across.
I am still using the old Arachnophilia Version 4 to edit and upload my html. I tried the new Java based system, but I was completely clueless. Oh well, so much for riding the shock front of technology...
