Hey all. :) A very happy Steph here tonight, what a fabulous week I've had! *Yay*
I just got back from watching "Ghost in the Shell" with Susan and Jules. It was pretty good, but I've got some nice blisters on my heels from my new shoes, but that's a small price to pay… :)
I'm sorry, I just have to tell the world how up-beat, positive and happy I am at the moment… :) I'm just having a really good time, I'm recognizing that I can actually pass… obviously not completely yet, but when I look I see a girl there and I know it can only improve… it all started at Tilley's last Sunday, in the glass reflective windows I saw a young woman for really the first time and it's been spiraling upwards from then… Even in male mode, occasionally I'll see myself in some reflective surface, and I'll see a female looking back and I'll go Yay! :)
I think it's also helped by some reasonable wardrobe changes, I'm wearing my jeans more because they look nice with the boots, they aren't associated with my "male persona" and I bought a new belt and T-shirt which really help do me justice…
Actually for the last couple of days I've also been made aware of the physical changes that my body is going through, my breasts are really sore, and I'm not sure why… I guess it's just the physical changes finally catching up with me, but that's something I was expecting… even hoping for, so again I'm sore but happy…
Mmmm… so it's seeing myself as female which has been the biggest leap for my mental process, and I seem to have turned the corner… ^_^
Okkie, it's been a while, what have I been up to?

Wednesday was lunch with Michelle and her mum. I met them at Café Essen at about 12:20 pm and we chatted for quite a while… Michelle's Mum is really nice, and it's clear where Michelle gets her drive and confidence from… at about 1:00 pm Jen turned up and it was strange seeing her in a business type suit. We were outside and eventually went inside since none of our metabolisms were up to it… we chatted on and on and it was really great. Later I looked in the mirror and had a heart-attack, my whole face was peeling off around my mouth and I looked absolutely terrible, I was so disheartened… :(
So we continued to chat until 3:00 pm when we all had to part ways. As we were saying goodbye, Red walked past and we went off on a walk around Civic to here and there. She had been having lunch with a friend Louise, and Red had said to her "There's some friends of mine, Michelle and Steve." To which Louise replied, "Oh I thought that was two girls." So when Red told me that I was really chuffed… :)
So at 4:00 pm she met up with Susan to go shopping and I went back briefly to work and then home. I was in a pretty bad rush, so I threw on my jeans, faithful blue shirt, new belts and new shoes and coat. I was pretty impressed with myself, I did exercise some restraint and forgo the forms… *g*
I met Susan and Red out side Impact, and they said "Very nice" so I was happy. We caught the bus over to Manuka, picked up Jules and went to red's. I was feeling a bit weird and didn't know why. Loud noises were annoying me and after I had dinner I was feeling distinctly unwell. So I got some pills off Jules and went for an attempt at sleep while the others watched a Jacky Chan movie. I didn't sleep, and I didn't feel that much better afterwards.
After a bit of another video (Soul Music) we had to go home… thankfully Peter gave me a lift back to Civic so I could pick up my bike, and Susan and Jules back to John's. I crashed around midnight.
The next morning (Thursday) I woke up reasonably and wanted to get some new sunglasses. The old ones were tearing up my face… as I cycled across Union Court at about 9:30 am I ran into Nikki! Of course we decided to celebrate this synchronicity by having coffee for an hour or more and regaling each other with what we had done on our weekends. She had enjoyed a fabulous time in Melbourne, so it was good to see that it had really worked out good for her. :)

So after that I went back to the lab and worked away diligently (sort of) for the rest of the day.
Came home, had a shower but was too exhausted to have the shave I desperately needed. I can't remember what I got up to, but it can't have been very interesting. Oh, Susan had picked up Jules's new CD-ROM burner, and he came down and played with that for a while since Susan was at a group meeting.
Friday I set up three reactions and had to let them all process. I said hello to Krissy who had sent me an email, apparently she had had a hard time at the doctor's on Thursday and had made another appointment for today, so I wished her the best of luck. Also sent an email to a young tranny in Perth who had also emailed and said hello. So I was really bored in the afternoon and certain didn't feel like doing work, so I ate to compensate. I stopped taking the Mega-multi vitamin I was taking, because I was certain that the high levels of vitamin A in my system were messing with my eye-sight, and I seem to be correct. I'll cut back to maybe one or two per week.
So I got back here at ~5:30 pm, Jules came down and I tidied and was on ICQ to Soba and Red whilst he read a book. Later Susan came back so he went upstairs, so I went and washed my bedding and had a shower. I finally decided to shave my arms since I thought "Stuff it, I don't care if people don't have any clues as to my gender." I'm glad I did now… and then I shaved my face which was heavenly delight itself… :) I so can't wait for electro to start and finish… Then I went and chatted more, came down at 10:00 pm to get changed, decided to go the white T-shirt which I had bought with Red on Wednesday. It looks so-so in "boy mode" but really good with the forms in… (IMHO)
We walked over to Civic and got there with time to spare… my feet were a bit sore so I took my boots off. The movie was OK, but I had seen it before and I guess I'm not cultish enough to appreciate it… After the movie, putting the boots back on and walking was a real effort, I certainly couldn't have run because of two brand new blisters which had sprung up. The toe squeeze wasn't so bad, but the blisters were rubbing… :(
But eventually we got home and everything was fine. I chatted briefly with Krissy on ICQ and she had to got to bed (~1:00 am) after that I've just been writing this up.
Okkie, it's now 2:00 am and it looks like there is a thunderstorm brewing… I will head off to bed and hope for the gentle patter of rain to help my excited body to rest… :)
See you all, and lots of happy hugs… ^_^
