12:00 am – Ok, back to writing this thing up…
So we chatted away, and then a friend of Michelle's; Pip and her friend Carol turned up and we talked to them for a bit. Then a big crowd all arrived presumably from Elly's place where the lingerie party had been. There was Catherine, Elly, Deb from Sydney and a whole bunch whom I didn't really know, and then finally Szusza, Julia and Krissy arrived. The seating arrangement was pretty weird, I was on a medium sized table with my close friends, there was a big table of people whom I knew very casually, and then Szusza, Krissy and Julia on a small table just behind me. I think it worked out quite well.
So the evening progressed quite well, food was ample and good, it took me the best part of half an hour to eat my entrée, because I was chatting so much to everyone. T- was eating like a miniature whirlwind which was funny to see, and the conversation was really bubbly. My shoes were hurting my feet a little, but I thankfully only had to walk to the bathroom to touch up my makeup.
There were a few photographs taken inside, not too many though. About 11:00 pm, we decided to make a general move to wherever, and we all headed outside. Those who wanted to got pictures with Michelle (who was wearing this nice little grey dress) and thankfully Krissy took one for me. I absolutely must get a hard copy…
There were (as usual) lots of people and not too many cars, but fortunately Szusza had two spare seats in hers. We dropped off Nikki at her place, and then Soba and I decided to not go to the Meridian and we jumped out at the traffic lights near the corner of the University and walk back to Johns. We got back about ~11:30 pm and crashed in my room, and after a little while Susan and Jules came down (I think this was Friday night?). They had been seeing Jules's friend Thorin (sp.?) who had just come over from New Zealand. Jules's mother had sent over a book which was an autobiography of the first Transsexual Mayor, who was from a town to the north of Wellington. It was really nice of her, and the book was even signed! Thanks Mrs D*** ^_^
So we chatted away, and I was felling really comfortable as myself/Steph and I hadn't even bothered taking out the forms. Later Jules and Susan headed off to bed and Soba did the same. I was on a pretty good vibe as I usually have been recently, and was just doing a bit of email, when the fire alarm went off at about 1:00 am. That was a shock, because they had installed a new alarm right outside my door. I doubted it was anything serious, but I new a fire warden would be coming around to hunt us out of the building, so I took out my forms and put on my black coat and went up to tell Soba where we had to go. We wandered out the back where there was a fair crowd building, and Jules and Susan came down and we chatted away (I was in bare feet, thankfully it wasn't too cold) until the fire engines arrived and we were allowed to go back in.
Hmmm… so that was an interesting interlude. *s*
So not long after that I crashed out. I woke up reasonably early on Saturday, after a totally weird set of dreams. I seriously dreamt I was at dinner with a whole bunch of tranny's, and then I cam home and checked my ICQ?! I think my dreams are getting way to literal, because the day before I dreamt I was writing up my diary entry!?!
So I was feeling a little peckish, and we had finished all my milk drinking it with Irish Cream the evening before, so I tapped on Soba's door to ask if she wanted anything for breakfast. She woke up (I'm sorry!!!) and said no. Acton supermarket was closed, so I went into town (in thongs and with no helmet) and got some milk and other stuff. Came home and lounged about till Soba came down stairs about midday or so.
