8:00 am Tuesday 5th October 1999

Good grief, what the hell am I doing up at this end of the day I hear you ask? I kind of lay in my bed and fell asleep sometime around 9:00 am yesterday (according to my internet log, I have no other recollection) and after a few wake ups, I finally got up at about 7:30 am this morning after some long, weird dreams. I went down to breakfast, made off with a few spoons ^_^ and now I'm back here. I figure there is still plenty of time before I have to even think about going to work, so I'll fiddle around here for a bit…

Now the rest of the weekend…
Around 12:30 pm Soba and I wandered slowly over to the Jolimont Center. Halfway there Mum called Soba on her mobile phone from the auction. They hadn't bought anything and were just about to leave. So we said Sarah was arriving soon. So we walked over to the Jolimont center and we waited. And we waited, and waited. Finally after 45 minutes, Sarah's bus finally turned up. Because Mum was expecting Soba to call her, but Soba didn't have her phone number, we caught a taxi back to Johns and called my parents from there. They had been driving around because the battery on the car had run flat, so they came back to Johns and picked us all up. We went for lunch in the food court of the Canberra Center. It was really god to see them again, though I think Dad was uncomfortable surrounded by 3 and a half girls… ;)
So after a while they headed off, Mum forced some cash on me and then after a hug for each of us from her they departed. That left us to go shopping which was cool, Sarah kept on apologizing for dragging me around the fashion shops, (strange considering that she is supposed to know about me) but I was probably having a better time than she was. *lol*
Sarah was supposed to get a sex video as a dare for a friend, so after a several drinks at P.J.'s we headed into Club X. All the video's were ~$40 so no consensus was reached, but it was funny anyway.
So after a few hours of this and that, we walked back to Johns. We came back and crashed in my room, and of course Soba pulled out all the photo albums and she was going through them. About 9:00 pm Jules, Susan and Thorin dropped around. Thorin gave me a hug, and we talked while Soba and Sarah chatted on the couch.
After they went up to Susan's room, we figured that it was time to go out since it was ~10:00 pm. I knew we wouldn't be going to any of my usual haunts, so I had to dress blokey. I went the green shirt and mole-skins, and jeez did I feel yuck. I didn't want to be reminded of that look at all, but for the moment I am still keeping up some appearances. So we walked into town and went to a new bar called Corvos on West Row, they had a jazz band playing, but it was a bit cold for sitting around with a beer. So we walked into town, but none of us could figure out where we wanted to go. Eventually after much wandering around often via P.J.'s, we ended up at café Macchiatto where we had a drink and the music was actually pretty good. The waitress suggested the new club Babylon which had just opened up, but when we got there the queue was enormous. So we ended up heading home (I'm not sure what time, but getting around ~1:30 am). Soba came down and crashed on the mattress on my floor. It was pretty late (~2:30 am) but I engaged her in conversation because I didn't know when I'd get the chance again. She was helpful, and after a while we both nodded off.
I woke up about 10:30 am, but Soba was asleep and I didn't want to wake her.

Eventually she got up around 12:00 pm and we all decided to head into Civic for lunch. We went to Wood-stock were Sarah and I had eaten before, and we got this weird little table on a balcony. I was going fairly androgynous that day, but there wasn't any particular problem…
After stuffing ourselves we went and watched a fashion parade which was on at the Canberra Center. It was raining, so anywhere inside was preferable. By about then it was time almost for Soba to jump on her bus. So we got the luggage out of the locker where we had left it and after waiting in a huge queue for her ticket to be stamped we went outside and waited an extra 30 minutes for her bus to be ready. We had a group hug and a photo. It took ages to leave after she got on, so Sarah and I were just mucking around being generally stupid to keep her amused. Finally the bus started to leave and after a final bout of silliness, she was gone…
That left me and Sarah, and we actually got Sarah to book in. She got her stuff on the bus and after another hug, she got on. Her bus also took ages to get going, so I had to keep her entertained despite the rain, but after more silliness, she was on her way.
It was raining quite hard and I didn't know what I wanted to do for the rest of the day. I went for a quick look in Target, but didn't see much. I had $10 in my pocket, so I caught a taxi back to John's as my feet were killing me as per usual. I didn't do very much that evening, just bummed around because it was raining pretty hard. Susan and Jules were out at dinner with Thorin and didn't get back till really late.
I woke about 10:30 am on Monday, and after a more laziness, I grabbed my coat and walked over to the lab. I printed out my carbon NMR which had been there since Friday morning. Andrew was there, so I briefly chatted to him. The day was nice, overcast and just a hint of rain on the ground. I walked into Civic and looked around. I bought some donuts, but they made me feel pretty sick, so I decided to go home. It was starting to rain and my leg was feeling funny, but I made it back to John's without too much hassle. I dropped by to see Susan and Jules and after hearing about all the wonders of the GST I came down here and didn't do very much. I had pasta for dinner ad did the washing up, and since there wasn't much happening. I tested out the new pan-stick foundation which I had bought, and it was surprisingly easy to apply and blend. It's hard to say quite whether it's the correct colour for my skin, but seeing as that I hope to be off the Roaccutane in a few months there isn't much point buying to much make-up at this stage. I had a shower to wash it off, and ouch! Removal definitely hurts… The shower made me all sleepy, so I decided to have a snooze at about ~8:30 pm, and now here I am!
I got an email from Lloyd on Friday, he said that it was cool, and that I wasn't his first Tranny friend. I was kind of disappointed at hearing that *g*, but was glad that he was fine about it.
I just got a Pontifex form, and am wondering how much I can get away with on it… *wicked grin*

9:15 am – Just finished… Now it's raining outside and I'll have to go to the lab soon, that'll be so much fun… I'm due to meet Red at 2:00 pm for a late lunch.
