Ahhh… what a nice day and night it's been. :)
I woke up and had breakfast, and about 10:00 am I got onto ICQ with Red. I conned her into a shopping expedition, which she was quite willing to go on because she has an assignment to work on. *g* So we met up in the city about 12:30 pm, just as I was buying the paper. I think we must have covered all the shops in the Canberra arcades and beyond. After a Sub-way lunch and more shopping, by about 3:00 pm we had out fill. I bought two tops, one purple with a low v-neck (maybe a little too low) and this cool grey top with a embroidered cherry tree-blossom on the shoulder area. I really like it since it can be covered up or exposed as much as necessary… ;)
So Red jumped on the bus, I bought a CD from Impact and came home. I vegged out not doing particularly much for the afternoon, so I cooked some dinner, tried on my new purchases and was generally pretty pleased with the day. About 6:00 pm I went and chatted with Susan and Jules. Jules W******* was there, so I chatted with him for a bit since Jules D was doing some CD burning for him. After that I talked with Susan who was rushing off to dinner and then Jules after she had rushed off. As I went to get my pasta out of the fridge I bumped into Jane G**** coming up the stairs. She stuck her head around the corner and said hello and then burst into a giggling fit when she saw the grey top I was wearing. She isn't hard to shock into giggles I admit, but I did take quite a bit of amusement out of the whole episode (kept me amused for hours *s*).
Jules wanted to test out a new disk on my machine and so we went down to my room and checked that out. Jules was playing the tutorial when Nikki rang to ask if I wanted to go to the movies with some free tickets which she had gotten. I said sure, and she got here at about 8:30 pm, just as Jules's nose started dripping blood into my key-board. He went to fix himself up and I let Nikki in. After introductions, I got ready and we walked over into Civic. I was wearing my black boots and they weren't too bad this time. We got our tickets and we bumped into Rob H****** which was kind of weird but Ok. We went in and watched the movie. It was alright, and I only covered my eyes up in two parts. I figured that it was the best idea since my dreams have been rater vivid of late…
After the movie, we said goodbye to Rob and Nikki caught a taxi home. So Jules and I walked back to John's. We bumped into Bridget and Phil (who I didn't know but was from Johns) and we chatted on the way back. I'm not sure what Phil though of what I was wearing, but hey! See if I care… I think he was pretty cool about it, but it was dark I suppose. ;) Susan wasn't home, so Jules came and crashed here for a while. We had some Irish Cream stuff, and then Boozer came down. Apparently she had gotten back at 10:30 pm and had been in Anthony's room for the rest of the time. So after a while, they headed back upstairs and I was about to crash out when Michelle gave me a bleep on ICQ. We just finished chatting (~1:30 am) and I had a brief conversation with Krissy after she got back from the 70's night which she had been getting all ready for earlier.
So yes it was a really good day and night. I'm quite tired now since I woke up pretty early, and so the bed will be very welcome as soon as I can finish typing this thing up.
