Yawn… God I wish I could get by on 3 hours sleep like one of grrls who's diary I read does…
Got up, eyes were all blood-shot. I couldn't figure whether it was because of the infection or maybe the eye-drops are irritating them. I haven't put any in today, so I will see what a night's sleep does for it. If nothing, I'll drop into the Uni Doctor tomorrow and ask what the hell is going on. It was only a weeping problem with one before, now both are red as…
So I put on the Irish jersey and headed down to brunch. They had some really nice muffins (banana = ?) so I had some of them and after a while of being bored I headed back to my room. I wanted to try out the other tops I had bought. I realized just how short the lilac top was (!) it's next was quite low (for me) too. Still, I quite like it, it will just take a bit of getting used to… both for me and anyone who sees me in it… *g*
Eventually I decided on my blue top and white feels-nice shirt. I cycled slowly over to the lab and was completely unmotivated. It was such a nice day I abandoned my lab work and headed outside for a slow cycle around the campus. I spent some time sitting in the sun wondering about moving out and that kind of stuff and as I started to feel my skin tingle I figured I had better head inside. I couldn't do any work and so I just headed home. I decided to brave brunch, so I sauntered in and got a few interesting looks. No jaw drops or anything too over the top, but a few following eyes… it was fun… *evil laugh*
So after another muffin or two I came back and didn't do very much at all. I listened to my new CD and had a bit of a snooze.
Mum called sometime in the afternoon so I had a chat to her. It was a bit up and down. I told her I was a bit stressed because I now had to move out and didn't want to stay in a college of any sort because of my "changes". She suggested I put it off until after Uni and instantly my blood started to boil. I tried to be restrained, but I shouted "NO. Can't you see how much this means to me!" It was a bit strained from my end after that. So after that I chatted to dad about nothing in particular and that was that. I went back to listening to my CD.
Later in the afternoon I dropped by Susan and Jules and said hello. Susan said to me " I think you'd better tell Paul pretty soon…" I asked why, and apparently when they had been down in Phillip that day, they had met Paul and after a brief discussion of what people were doing for next year, my name came up and Paul asked "Is Steve growing breasts?" That had me rolling on the floor with laughter. That question from Paul was followed by abject silence from Susan and Jules, 'cause I mean what the hell do you say to a question like that. *lol*
Susan let me go through the rental section of the newspaper and there were a few OK places. I told her I'd be willing to move in if she found a suitable place. But that I'd have to try and get my money back from Johns and get my change of name all sorted out. I definitely don't want that sort of thing following me around on my rental record.
So that is something which I must get seen to. I'm trying to find the phone number for the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, but their search engine seems pretty useless. I'll ring directory assistance tomorrow and then ring them to sort out a few things.
It seems like some asshole has decided to try and download some big file of the internet, ruining the connection for the rest of us… Grrr…
Ok, it's nearly midnight anyway. I'm crashing out right now…
