Ok, what's up. The bad things today. It was 30 degrees which sucked and I got roused at by the head of the department. Nothing too serious, I was trying to get rid of some waste but couldn't get the key. I unintentionally left the waste in a bad spot, thankfully there wasn't too much yelling at me. ;) Also had a stiff jaw today which was quite annoying, hopefully it will go away.
Ok, now the good news I have two new compounds bringing the total up to 18 and hopefully I will have 2 more tomorrow getting me up to the magical 20 mark. There are 12 days left until he arrives back. It also rained this evening, and that was really nice.
(Mental note: Triturating the vinylidene intermediate with an ether/pet spirit mixture and then filtering is quite a good method for isolating the dppm compounds.)
My bank card still hasn't arrived, so I was worried about not having money, but I remember my Medicare claim from the dermatologist and got $28 back. This was handy. It was terribly warm (~30 degrees) and by about 4:30 pm I really had no option but to go home. I came back, had the left-over rice to eat and crashed out. I woke up at 7:00 pm and bummed around until 8:30 pm when I headed over to the lab and worked until 10:30 pm and then came home through the (now) cool air.
Just uploaded my diary entries for the last week or more and not much else. I really need to write some emails. Wow, the end of November is only about 15 minutes away… actually now after checking and sending some email, it is December. Ok, I think I will kill this one here and upload while my home-page account is still open.
