11:50 pm - Just back from the lab and cooling down. Yes that's right folks, another 13C NMR run, only another one or two to go I think in the current batch.
Today was quite boring, I put up with the flu and continued sniffing away. I took Northern Exposure 2 into work and listened to that on and off whilst I had the fun job of entering characterization data from the raw print-out's into journal acceptable form. This is not too bad, but interpreting and entering NMR data is very sucky. I think today I got about 3 or 4 compounds out of the way, and I hope that maybe I will have it all done by the time I go home for Xmas sometime next week. That took up most of the day and I left sometime after 6:00 pm. Unusually, they didn't do any work on the car park this morning.
I had lunch with Nikki which I wasn't expecting, but which was nice anyway. We chatted a lot, her trip to Melbourne was rather mixed which was unfortunate, but at least she got down there.
So I came home, chatted to Soba on ICQ, ate some rice and crashed out about 7:30 pm. Woke up 9:30 pm, wrote a reply email to Astro and then jogged over to the lab at about 11:00 pm.
I think the jogging is doing me good, I figure I'm in the best "surgery" category for a Tranny at the moment, young, healthy, fit, no drug dependence, employable and happy as all hell! :) Not that I'm planning on surgery in the near future, but hey it pays off down the track. I have to admit, I don't know why people go for cheap GRS, it doesn't make a lot of sense really. It might take a year or two extra to save up a bit more, (and if you're serious being frugal shouldn't be a problem) and this is a one-off non-repeatable operation, it pays to get the best possible job. You're going to be stuck with it FOREVER and if you don't have sensation, that is going to suck a lot. But still, I suppose there are some people who want to be rid of their male genitalia at any cost and for them that is what is most important. Fortunately, I do not stand in that camp.
Hmmm… 22 days left on Roaccutane. I'm vaguely contemplating the possibility of getting an estrogen implant, I figure my liver has been pretty beat up with everything and I know I want to stay on estrogen therapy, and it's surely got to be cheaper as well, so I'll see what the Doc says when I return next year.
I have to admit, I've gone off pasta and onto rice quiet definitely. I guess it's quite good for me, tonight I tossed in the snow-peas, and that turned out pretty good. Ah the wonders of trial and experiment in the food game.
I'll have to remember to do a big clothes wash and have a good shave before I go home for Xmas, I guess I may as well use John's for all they're worth.
I did actually bring some work home with me, but I'll give that a big ignore. If my nose/lips are still peeling tomorrow and I look festy, I may work from home.
Just Chatting to Krissy, she seems to be getting ready to leave for Perth early next year.
Ahhh… showers are good. Hmmm… according to my calculations, this is day 145 of Androcur and day 75 of the Progynova. It will be about 5 months just before Xmas eve.
Ok, 1:20 am, time to go sleepy's!
