Tick, tock, tick, tock… the clock is moving or so it seems, less than 24 hours until the turn over of the year. The fact that it is not really the actual end of the century or millenium doesn't seem to have gotten through to the majority of common slobs, but there you have it.
Ok, I'm back, but not in black. I'm settling back into my beloved Bat-Cave and starting to realise how much this is like a home to me. My eldest brother left early in the morning to drive back to Melbourne, and I got up later and leisurely packed and didn't leave until 1:30 pm. After a long and uneventful drive, I got to Canberra just on 4:00 pm and dragged my stuff back inside after a week's leave. After three attempts, I was unable to upload the 617 messages in my in-tray without my browser crashing, so I went over to the lab and shifted everything into the trash and fished out anything I though was interesting. Nothing too exciting. In addition, I hadn't received a single piece of email from my friends or an Xmas card either (except for Sarah and Soba), oh well.
So I came home and did some half-hearted unpacking, after some toast I had a snooze, then spoke to Mum on the phone to let her know I was back safe.
Watched some TV, then came back here and sent the emails I had written, and uploaded my diary entries. I then had a quick chat to Szusza and Krissy and now here I am!
I'm still not tired, I guess I'm just all hyper at being back. I hope I can get some good sleep so that I can party on way into the New Year. :)
Oh, and the boot of the car won't lock, not very good for security I'm afraid, Maybe I can fix it tomorrow in the light of day.
1:00 am - Ok, definitely time for bed… zzzzzzz….
