I think there is a direct relationship between my level of boredom and the time at which I do my diary entry. I figure I didn't do one last night, but there hasn't been much to report, so you're not missing out on much either.
I went into work today at 11:00 am and puttered around for a bit and then came home after being unproductive. I walked over to the Botanical Gardens which are just a few hundred meters from where I live and went for a long walk through there. I really, really enjoyed the rainforest section which I had never really explored properly. I was just walking along the bottom of the gully surrounded by the cool humidity with ferns draping the sides of the trail and the sun almost blocked out by the foliage. I really was having an ecstatic time, reveling in that wonderful place. I have an innate love of ferns and their environment, so of course I loved New Zealand which had them in abundance.
After that I just wandered through the more typical Australian dry forest which made me want to get out of the sun, but at least I had on a thick coating of sun-screen so I wasn't too badly scorched.
After about an hour and a half of mostly walking, I headed home and I slept for about two hours. I then got up and after much procrastinating I went to the lab, where I bummed around and then after much unproductiveness I came home and having decided that that it was going to be another very boring night that I would do my laundry and tidy up this pig-sty and now I'm chatting to Soba on ICQ.

9:50 pm - Wow, big hour long chat session with Red which was really nice. :)

11:40 pm - I'm learning about the joy of frames. It's a bit hard to first get a hold of, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I don't know whether I'll convert my page, but again I am trying to eliminate ignorance and widen my skills a little. Oh and chatting sporadically to Michelle…
Back to work tomorrow, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Tidy up is a big priority as I made a fair mess today, and then hope and pray my starting materials have arrived.
