Jeeze, what a day. They started compacting the surface of the carpark next to my window again today. Yesterday they stopped at 9:00 am and I got some sleep, but today they were still going when I got fed up after they started at 8:00 am and I left at 10:30 am.
I was in a pretty cranky mood which didn't improve as the temperature soared up to 33 degrees… blah. I rang Nikki at work and we did lunch for an hour and had our usual good chats. She had a pretty quiet Xmas and NYE, and had just finished moving into her new place on the south side of the lake on Saturday and had had Bob over for a visit.
Union court was utterly disgusting. Multiple jack hammers making deafening noise and raising palls of dust. Heat, wind and traffic. I hated it, and the lab wasn't that much cooler.
I came up with a novel idea to form ADAM, and made the first precursor late in the afternoon. Unfortunately it is an oil and difficult to weight out. But I shall see how I go tomorrow when I try again.
I bought some bread and milk and came home and then spent a few hours watching the cricket. Nothing much is happening on Anti-Jen which is fine and that's about it.
I didn't have a nap this evening, and surprisingly considering the constant disturbances to my sleep, I don't feel to bad. I hate the heat, anything above 30 degrees is a real trial for me.
I haven't had any real email in a while which I find a little disappointing.
12:40 am - May the deities concerned with weather make it cool tomorrow and may the gods of construction sites be done with their play… to bed…
