Phew… I'm a bit pooped after going for a jog over to the lab this evening. I've got two reactions going, one is of some small interest, but the other is the "semi-big one". Will I get the compound I've been searching for so long for? I'll have found out by noon tomorrow… the precedents are there, the reaction is stirring, tomorrow time will tell.
Today and yesterday were work, work, work. Wednesday I had a long chat with my supervisor though I kept getting interrupted by phone calls. Still, we seemed to be able to thrash things out, so it was good. I had a quick and late lunch with Red, because I had to give her the money for Susan's 21st gift. Mum called to say they were dropping Gabby (brothers girlfriend) early and did I want to do lunch. Unfortunately I had to decline as things were so hectic.
Today was also straight work. A quick lunch and then working through until about 6:00 pm. I was very much in need of a nap by the time I had eaten dinner.
