Yawn… just about to crash, but thought I would do the therapeutic diary thing first. Today in a nutshell. Once reaction worked, one reaction failed, and I got implanted. The reaction that worked gives me some hope, I shall see if that hope is warranted.
I got to the Interchange and paid for the implant at 2:00 pm. Then I met with Dr S**** and got the results of my blood test back. The good news was that my testosterone had dropped to almost insignificant levels. The not-so-good news was that my Oestradiol levels were actually rather low. About 132 pmol/L or (Dr's calculation) about 37.7 pg/mL. A typical level is about 100-400 pg/mL. This was interesting to hear, and after I got over the surprise that it was that low, considering that I am on 6 mg of Oestradiol Valerate a day (a medium to high dose) is rather unusual. Personally I put this down to my incredible liver. I seem to have the detoxifying liver from hell. No normal drugs seem to effect me anymore, I don't know why but as soon as they get to the liver, BANG! They're toast…
Hence I should be interested when I go back for another blood test in 6 weeks time. If it is my liver which is destroying the estrogen before it can get to the hormone receptors, then I should get a large increase in my estrogen level. If it does soar, then I get I should get ready for super-PMT…
The operation itself was easy enough, I got to see the tiny little implant, the local anesthetic sticking out of my tummy and the trocar as well. It wasn't particularly painful, just a bit nerve-racking at first.

I have a big backlog of email to send, I haven't written to Illara in 2 weeks, and I have to get back to Catherine… Jeeze I wish ICQ was working…
