Ok, I've taken the day of from work to pack and get all my stuff together.
I have my laundry in the dryer and I just got back from the facial. It was pretty good I have to admit, very relaxing and when Penny started massaging my shoulder blades, I just turned into warm putty. ;)
I just left a message at my brothers place saying I am going to be in Sydney and left the mobile number.
There was a rather surreal moment, I was lying on the table covered in goo and with a mask over my eyes when the phone rang. At first I didn't realise it was mine, and then I had to reach down whilst flat on my back, open my bag with my eyes still covered and fish out the phone. I had to pick off half the eye-mask to be able to answer the phone, thankfully it was worth it because it was Szusza who had received my plaintive cries for information and was ringing back. Julia has a map apparently and she gave me Julia's mobile number, so hopefully that it that all fixed.
Last night was very tiresome. The day was like I was smashed out of my mind or something, I just couldn't concentrate or get even the simplest tasks accomplished. I was there and tried to be productive but it wasn't happening. The Royal Australian Chemical Society (RACI) Canberra division (of which I am a forcibly indentured member) had a lecture on fraud in chemistry, and after that we went to an Italian restaurant and had a heavily subsidized meal. The food was good, but the service was slow and by the time coffee and dessert rolled around it was passing 10:30 pm. By the time I got back to John's, had a chance to shave and do all the other things which couldn't wait, it was getting close to 1:00 am, not good because I had to wake up at 8:00 am this morning.
I bought a new black top yesterday, and although it is the right size, I wasn't really expecting it to emphasize my breasts so much. I was happy. :)
