12:20 am Friday 10th March
Here I am, I'm 25 and the world is still revolving… around me of course, but that's natural. ;)
Well, it been an interesting little 48 hours or so. Wednesday I got up and being the birthday girl I took my time doing stuff, but after getting some jobs done in town I (as always) ended up in the lab. I brought donuts to celebrate my birthday, so the atmosphere was good.
I had to go meet up with the others for the dinner I had booked for 7:00 pm. I met up with Red and then Susan and Jules turned up and finally Bridget. Heather couldn't make it, and Lloyd had Army stuff on. Dinner was fun, the conversation was good and the presents (!) were funny and partially useful. We went to do coffee at Essen and then we parted ways at about 9:00 pm or so. All in all, it is definitely one of the better birthdays I've had in a while. :)
Today was work, work, work. I did coffee with Nikki in the afternoon whilst I had a break in my synthetic scheme, so it was a nice relief to have a chat to her. I regaled her with my stories of Mardi Gras whilst my coffee got cold. ;)
There was a trip to the "Molongolo Water Treatment Plant" as part of the RACI chemistry interest, but I opted out. Instead I came home and after a snooze I chatted to Soba and Peta B on the phone which was really nice.
Tonight I even went for a jog, so things are busy around here. I'm looking at share housing close to the University. Most rooms in share houses are ~$100 or less, so if I can get a place close that would save me a lot of money in the long run. Maybe even enough to pay for some electrolysis! Speaking of which, I have my (hopefully) final dermatologist appointment in about two weeks. I have to ask about electrolysis after Roaccutane… that dread word I speak of with only horror and loathing…
Ok, lets get this entry uploaded and I can get some sleep before I have to go back to slaving again in the lab in the morning…
