Having my own long hair is nice, but Jeeze it takes long to dry… ;)
Ahhh… today was Canberra Day a public holiday of little note anywhere else. However it was a day off nonetheless and therefore I only spent about 2 hours at the lab. I was vacuum distilling some material i.e. boring as all hell, and I only finished at about 2:30 pm and so I had to come home and tidy before Mum arrived. I had been doing laundry earlier in the day, so that was one necessary but onerous chore which I had eliminated.
Just as Mum arrived, the computer guy said he was coming down to correct my network connection. I was wearing my white top and jeans, and I guess I never really thought about just how femme it made me look, because his facial expression was interesting. So Mum and I chatted whilst he fixed that up, and she had brought over some passion-fruit which I want to get stuck into.
After that we headed down to Civic and we just went for generic shopping. I apologized as I ducked into Target and got a new sports bra, the old one was getting quite itchy as it frayed in placed. When I say apologized, I apologized for the rather surreal effect of her son going in to get a bra, I wasn't sure if she was ready for that.
But after getting some groceries and dumping them in the car we went for coffee and food at Essen. We chatted away, I admit the conversation was mostly about me and my issues, but I get to see and chat with Mum alone so rarely, that I wanted to be able to continue to reassure her that I wasn't rushing into anything and so on.
After that we just wandered around the mostly deserted center of Canberra and then went back to Johns. I unpacked all the stuff and after more chatting and a brief trip to get milk and detergent (which we had forgotten) I dropped her off at the Jolimont Center and although I wanted to stay, she shooed me off. She should hopefully be home by about now (~11:30 pm), so I hope everything went fine.

Tomorrow is my (hopefully) final dermatologist appointment with Dr M*****. This was lined up at the end of November, and is so that he can look at me after I've been off the Roaccutane for over 2 months. It's now 2.5 months and my most burning (pardon the pun) question will be about electrolysis. I doubt he will know any specifics, but I shall see what he says and pray that it will be positive. I forgot to mention I was on estrogen therapy last time I saw him, so I will have to bring that up. It probably won't be too hard seeing as that I'll probably be wearing a sports bra which might be a bit of a giveaway when I take my top off.

Oh, ad in other good news, Peta G found that "Boulevard Shoes" in Kingston are an outlet for "Novaks Shoes" in Melbourne who cater for the large foot crowd at prices significantly cheaper that the only other outlet of which I am aware. I shall have to investigate…

Ok, I want to write more, but it's getting late and I have lots of things to do tomorrow and I need to do some planning for such… see ya!
