Does excessive socializing count toward making this a busy day? *g*

I got into the lab at 9:00 am this morning courtesy of the re-adjustment to daylight savings, my supervisor in his naturally humorous way greeted me with "Steph, Steph!" as I had my hair out temporarily. I decided that this was a day on which I would do no reactions. Instead, I decided to attack the task of cleaning with a vengeance. This took a good proportion of the day, taking all the glassware and garbage out of my fume-cupboard, polishing all of it, cleaning the fume-cupboard and so on. I guess I can say I was productive even though I didn't do very much, because it was in desperate need of attention.
I had a nice long lunch with Red from 2:00 pm and spent much time chatting with her at the Chifley tables. We had a good talk and I was able to relate my big news for the day.
I had finally bitten the bullet and about noon I had gotten all my forms together and headed over to the chancellery with the intention of getting my name changed on my student record. Thankfully the queue was short and the lady at the counter very helpful. I filled in the form and as she typed the information into the computer, she asked if I wanted to change my title. Not realizing that this was possible, but happy that they would do it, I said "Miss" would be great. She then took my photo for my new student ID (which only says S Hurst) and that was that! So now officially on the University records I am Miss Steph Hurst! Hurrah! *big smile*
After that I went into Civic to get my Medicare money back, but forgot my health card and came back to the lab empty handed but glowing happily nonetheless.
Nikki called me and we did coffee at the Street Theatre at 5:00 pm and that was nice to. As usual we both had heaps to regale the other with and we chatted for quite a while. I got home after dark and had been home a while when a nurse from Interchange rang and told me my results were back from the blood test. I had already organized an appointment for Friday afternoon, so that will be VERY interesting. I also have a hair appointment for Friday noon as well.
To continue what seems to be a nice streak of things falling into place, I might try to make an appointment for a consultation at the Laser-Derm place in town tomorrow.
Soba is apparently going to leave Berri on Sunday and after a stop-over at a friends place on Sunday night make it to her parents caravan by the Monday night. I cannot go with her because of the short notice and because she is not going to either Canberra or Tumut (where my parents are).
