Ugh… waking up is good and bad…

Hmmm… Ok, there is a few Japanese movies being played by the Animee club today, and I think I might attend one or two. It looks windy and cold, so I can't complain. ;)

Ok, update first. I had my second electro session on Wednesday evening, and the results are pretty much the same. The swelling has now gone down, if anyone had asked, I should have told them that my pimp slapped me. ;) The scabbing is coming up something vicious, and I can see that if I persist with this method, I am going to use a LOT of concealer. Hence I may be calling this my last session for a while.
The lab was getting productive, but again a lack of starting materials meant that a promising start couldn't be carried through. And don't even get me started on ferrocene… Grrr…

ICQ was fixed finally by the damn computer people around here, but I think my computer has screwed the connections up by crashing. Therefore, the need to reinstall and possibly upgrade becomes more important still.

1:50 pm - It's wet, I bought some new pants and finally some extra make-up in the right colour scheme and there is a Japanese Monster movie this afternoon at the Animee club… it doesn't get much better than that. ^_^
I also bought "Biological Exuberance : Animal homosexuality and natural diversity" by Bruce Bagemihl, it looks like it will be a very interesting read. :)

10:45 pm - Yawn… a very nice night over at Peta B's house where I had dinner with her. I got lost getting there because Holt is way out in the sticks (almost a 20 minute drive!). But it was really nice, neither of us rate in the world's top 10 most exuberant people, but it was a hot dinner, extensive conversation and a warm house. Always good to catch up. :) I have the feeling something is supposed to happen on Sunday, but I can't for the life of me recall anything. Oh well, maybe I'll use it as another excuse to sleep in. God knows I need to catch up for during the week.

This afternoon I managed to catch "Gamera 3 : Incomplete Struggle" and I have to admit it blew me away. I'm used to Japanese monster movies being cheesy, but this is one of the new modern ones with lots of good CGI, self-consistent plot and worthwhile acting. It's definitely a must see, it makes the American version of "Godzilla" look even more trite indeed (if that's possible). 4 out of 5 stars. ^_^
