I'm fairly tired and I need to go wash off my makeup, back soon… maybe…

Ok, a quick catch-up.
On Wednesday Mum came over at about 11:30 am, and she stayed for about 2 hours. I was glad I got a chance to see her and talk, though as always it ended far too soon. We talked a fair bit about what I'm going through, and she said that her biggest concern was that I would "go all twitty". I suppose that is a fair enough concern, but it really isn't in my nature (IMHO). For me, I told her that my biggest concern was that there are things I can't presently see which would cause me to do a 180 degree turnaround and that things might be too late by then. But then, the question is raised, how much time do you spend thinking about what you can't yet see?
Anyway, we drilled some holes in the wall with the drill she brought over which got the mirror off my desk, had lunch which she had brought over, and shifted a lot of my junk out to the car. She went home at about 1:30 pm, and I didn't get a hug because she was driving and dropped me off at the lab.

At 2 pm was coffee, and there was a bumper crowd of 10 people there! The conversation was good, and we were playing rude-word-scrabble with alphabet smarties. We split up at 3 pm, and after a quick trip to the lab, I dropped Red off at her home and continued onwards to John James Hospital where Dr T**** has his clinic.
First my face got shaved and then iced to keep it from being damaged, then with protective (and painful) lead goggles on to protect my eyes, Sally started at the top of my sideburns and worked downwards. Basically the second side hurt more than the first, or maybe I was just fed up by then. Also, in areas where there was dark coarse hair (chin and top lip) it hurt a lot more. I was very thankful for it to be over, and it took just over an hour. I was pretty red, so I drove home and after making a quick trip to the little Uni supermarket (where I saw Bridget and Heather), I came home and crashed out for several hours.
By the next morning the main redness was gone, but there was a lot of spots where the hairs had once been. On the top lip this looked rather unappealing, but some concealer put paid to that. It's now about 30 hours later, and I have to wait for all the hairs which have been blasted to slowly work their way out of the (hopefully) dead follicle. I'll keep people updated.

Today was my second DJ workshop which was interesting but harder, trying to beat match two differently paced records. I came down with some awful stomach cramps halfway through, and because of that only briefly stopped at Susan and Jules's place. I did however, get to chat briefly with Mrs D***.
Work has been mostly shifting through references and spending time in the library collecting the literature from the last 18 months to two years. The lights in the office are shocking, and I had something of a headache most of the day.
