So, today was even more computer hassles and by 6:00 pm I was pretty shirty.
The day had started off quite well, well at least once David had rung and asked if I was coming to coffee at Tilley's like I said I would. After "Oh sh*t" and some quick racing around I made it over there for a long drawn out but very nice brunch with Peta, David and T*****.
I think I left my sunglasses at S&J, but was looking for a new pair so I dropped into town and got some. Then it was some mucking about at home and in the afternoon over to the lab. The computer wouldn't print and kept freezing up when I tried to, so I installed Win 98 and reinstalled Word 97 but the problem still wouldn't budge. I finally abandoned it and came home. I just washed my hair and (seemingly) a bucket of red hair dye came out. Now I'm sitting around waiting for it to dry.
Yesterday was some more bumming around and more lab work. It was a nice day to begin with, and then an absolute down-pour started up whilst I had all my towels on the line. I took my computer over to the lab, and after blowing out an inordinate amount of dust and fluff from inside the case, I was able to confirm that both the network card and cable were fine.
It was Graduation that day for some of the Engineers, and they had congregated in Canberra for wherever they had fled to for one last time. I picked up Susan and Jules and we went to dinner with them in the city (Mama's Kitchen). It was a nice time, and good to catch up. After that we went to Pancake Parlour and after that I got home about 11:30 pm.

I figure I may as well save some disk space.
Today was long, productive and yet still relatively unexciting.
Getting up and into the lab early (9:00 am), paying off Toad, slaving away till 6:30 pm, shopping, chat to Mum and Dad, over to the gym for an exhausting workout and now home, shower and imminent bed. Tomorrow looks like being a repeat of the same with coffee on Wednesday the only distracting blip on the horizon.
Thankfully the computer problem I had encountered at work on Sunday was not due to me, but to someone else crashing the server and stuffing everything else up.
Today was also the S11 protest (www.s11.org) which was the protest against the World Economic Forum (WEF) going on at Crown Casino in Melbourne. Even for someone as apolitical I think it's a good thing… the protest that is.
Wow, I am majorly tired, it sure will be the "sleep of the just" tonight…
