I've just been going through putting dates on the photos in my albums.
By the end of this year I'll have about 5 full albums with about +250 to 300 photos in each (~1350 pictures) starting in 1993 when I began as an care-free, fresh-faced undergraduate at Hawkesbury.
For mostly my own benefit…

Volume I - Jan 1993 to March 1996
Volume II - March 1996 to December 1996
Volume III - April 1997 to February 1998
Volume IV - March 1998 to October 1999
Volume V - December 1999 to ?

There is of course the old joke…

Q) How many crossdressers does it take to change a light-bulb?
A) Two. One to do it, and one to take the photo. ;)

But considering that I'm usually in about one shot out of each roll, I don't fall enormously into the narcissistic category. Well, not very much. ;)
Despite all these pictures, it's hard to chart the course of my physical changes. Because I started hormone therapy at the same time I was on Roaccutane I didn't feel particularly photogenic, and because I'm always behind the lens, I'm never actually in them. I guess every group of friends has a "shutter-bug", and I guess that in this time and place the position falls to me.
But, it's hard to explain, each and every photo has a story behind it, each photo holds a memory. I look forward with sadness to the day when all I will have of my current friends is just those photos, and that might have to be comfort enough.
