I hadn't seen my neighbor in a week or so, so tonight I had a quick look in her kitchen cupboard and it was empty. So presumably she has moved elsewhere, probably off campus. I was wondering whether it may have been due to me. I usually leave my shoes (sweaty but not smelly) in the corner alcove, but I don't think that would have been a problem, I did run into her (she's a middle aged Chinese Research Fellow in Economics) on the Saturday after my last zapping when I was looking quite festy, but otherwise I've been a quiet and (IMHO) considerate neighbor. Because it's January, this is a common time for people to move off campus as it's the best time for house hunting. Anyway, I was wondering whether it had anything to do with me.
In other news, I had my first gym glass of the year on Monday afternoon, and it wasn't too bad. I was getting changed at home and I had my black bike pants and black sports bra on and I looked in the long mirror and said "Damn girl that's an Ok body". For a narcissistic, self-depreciator like myself, that's an ego boost. I think I could have gotten away with wearing just that to gym class, but I'm paranoid about my tuck and lack of any bust. A bit of surgery, and I may yet be able to wear skimpy clothes.
Today was very hot, and the American Professor who just arrived looked very poorly by about 2 pm. Considering the 40C temperature difference between here and snow-bound Illinois that's not surprising. It looked like he was going to throw up or pass out, maybe both in no particular order. My supervisor drove him home.
Tomorrow will be more thesis work, I actually spent between 8:30 pm and 11 pm at the lab because it has air conditioning and I had to work up a reaction plus work on my thesis. At the moment I'm still looking for mistakes (and finding them), I really need to write new stuff.
