8:40 pm - Friday 26th January 2000

It's raining, and since I'm made completely out of sodium metal, I can't go outside.

Ack! Yes, I'm bored. I was thinking of going over to the Meridian because Szusza mentioned they were having a fund raiser, but I think I'll pass now. I have chunks of my thesis here to keep me company… they're staring at me and I'm doing my best to ignore them. I'm obviously bored, because so far today I've done my laundry, been to the lab twice, worked on my thesis, arrived at the gym to find it closed, listened to the "Hottest 100" on Triple J and had a nap.
Climbing the walls takes on a whole new meaning.

11:45 pm - Well, it's still raining.

I'm kind of hitting myself for not digging up my old mid-term report which can be dumped wholesale into the thesis. I'm hoping I can get first drafts of one or two chapters to my supervisor in a week or two, this would be a big mental boost, and would get the stuff which has been hanging around the longest (and which I am the most sick of) out of the way. Didn't I say a while back that my thesis would shuffle me out of the diary centre stage limelight for the next few months?

Question : What's a girl to do when she's bored on a rainy Friday night?
Answer : Rearranging her room is always something to do.

I haven't gained any room, in fact I've probably lost some, but now the head of the bed is near the window which will hopefully increase the probability of me getting some much needed fresh air, and therefore some sleep.
