7:50 pm - Thursday 22nd February 2001

Music, check. Comfy seat, check. Necessary utensils, check. Now to undertake one of the great engineering feats, blow-drying my hair.

8:15 pm - Well, certainly not a perfect job, but functional enough for the next week or so.
Today has been interesting. My body clock keeps on resetting itself earlier and earlier so that today I woke up at 7:30 am and I had real trouble getting back to sleep. I went over to the champagne breakfast and then headed into work where I putted about and then headed back to the breakfast at about 11 am. There were about 25 or so people, and I had a good time chatting away. I headed back to work after a while, but needed to put more credit on my phone so I had to go into town. After seeing that I had a voicemail message from Red, I called her and we met up in the city and roamed around for a while.

10:00 pm - Ok, I just chatted to Susan and Jules on the phone and wished Susan a happy birthday. I caught up on news and exchanged gossip, so just the usual. I had some rather unpleasant stomach cramps which I usually get when I start exercising after a long break. They're fine now and I'm cooking up some pasta. I also sent some emails out to a few people and so dissipated some guilt. ;)
Ok, where was I. So after I said goodbye to Red I went back to the lab, but by about 4 pm I was practically falling asleep at my desk so I cam home and had a few hours sleep. Apart from the hectic week, powerful medications, poor sleeping habits and heat I think I'm getting tired because my level of fitness is dropping away. Hence the cycling binge this afternoon.

The CD who I met up with on New Year's Eve (Rant 399) is back in town and wants to meet up, and also has a girlfriend in tow. I'm not quite sure what this means, but I'll play it cautiously and make sure I leave details of where I'm going, his phone number and so on.

Of course, my tiredness could be related to me running out of coffee…
