Hey, it's Autumn finally and weather to match. No complaints here.

The scales appear to indicate that my weight is holding steady. I guess the fact it's holding steady above where I want it is both good and bad. I did go for a cycle this evening to try and get my circulation moving again, if only I could make this into a regular thing… damn thesis.
Speaking of which, I did minimal work on it today, I'm waiting on some last bits from other people for the paper and I'm otherwise mostly stuck. I am doing stuff, it's just all taking much longer than it should. An American guy is doing some part-time work in the lab and I spent much of the day helping him out.

Yesterday afternoon was a meeting for the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) which was cool. Next week I'll find out how to sew which I'm hoping should prove useful, there's also a helm-making session later in March. I imagine it'll be slightly less practical, but I'm quite interested in how it is done. I'm not all that amazingly keen on beating people up (and getting beaten up reciprocally) but I'm always looking to learn new stuff I hadn't considered before.
Tomorrow is very busy. Apart from paying rent and my credit card, there's Queer Collective meeting, plus a Chemistry BBQ and then pizza night at Toad, so my meals are all sorted out in advance. ;) Mum will hopefully be coming over on Sunday to say hello before my birthday. I guess I'm the closest and easiest (and probably most amicable) off-spring to catch up with, so that will be nice.
