It's International Women's Day… oh the irony…

Yes, the time listed above is all too correct, and for your information I went to sleep at ~11 pm and have been lying in bed since 2:45 pm wondering if I was going to be able to sleep. Today started poorly with a failed reaction and never really got an enormous deal better, say a 5 out of 10.
Even going to the SCA meeting was weird because a friend told me some news which was good, but which weirded me out a fair bit. On the up-side I got to help make my very first dress. It's very simple, a long, short-sleeved cotton dress, not yet finished, but mainly just in need of some hemming. True I have some store-bought black dresses, but now I have a rough idea how to make them and have an idea for a long black velvety one similar in shape to the one I helped make tonight.

Yes, it is also my birthday today, and I turn…well, 26. According to my Mum I was a difficult birth, my umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck and the doctor had to be called back from a Ball (it was about 11 pm on a Saturday night) to fix things up. Suffice to say I'm still here.
I've booked a blow-wave for 4 pm and I'm meeting the girls for coffee at 11am.
