Up and down and up…

Well, even the weekdays are busy it seems. I got into work about 9 am or so, and my supervisor handed me back the paper I had given him. It was covered in copious red pen, but mostly it referred to problems with font size and the majority of changes were typed in from my home computer in about an hour whilst chilling to Sasha and John Digweed's "Northern Exposure". Red called and she came over to Toad to say hello. She was down from Sydney for just a day or two to see her Mum, so we chatted away and I filled her in on my fun filled weekend. I also got my Provera today also, so I'm back onto it (10 mg/day). I finished typing in the changes when Red left, and went back into work and fiddled about there. I came home again about 4 pm because I was at a loss for things to do. I had corrected all the changes and given a copy to my supervisors wife to flick through.
I came home and fiddled with my dress. This was the red dress which had been hemmed when I was at the SCA day on Monday. Since we weren't able to do much metal work, we traced designs for the necessary armor and the ladies made their own groin protection. One of the guys picked me and asked Jenni about it. I don't know how widespread the knowledge is, but given that the presence of one tranny usually means that people are more sensitive to picking another. As it was the day was nice though my back hurt from cleaning the BBQ. I also got some constructive criticism on the velvet pannae dress too which was welcome. This weekend is the "Privateer's Feast" where everyone gets their funky clothes out and has a good time eating and drinking. I think I'm looking forward to it. :)

My supervisor said today that I should be able to drop 13C assignments out of my thesis, this would be really great, since they are a pain to assign. Things are slowly moving I guess (i.e. they're not at a complete stop just yet) and each day I'll try to keep my flagging motivation up. It was a friends birthday on the 11th, and I'm sad I didn't get a chance to chat to her, though my phone is dead because of zero credit. This Thursday is payday and I could spend the money on 1) Some really cool 20 hole Doc Martin boots I saw in town (major drool) or 2) laser zapping or 3) Rent and other essentials. Because I'm sickeningly responsible, I guess it will be option # 3.

9:30 pm - Yay… success. I managed to get rid of the sagging sleeves and re-pin the silver pannae dress. Now I just need to con someone with a sewing machine so I can get it sewn. I can now relax with my non-caffeineated sugar-filled soft drink.
