I'm still sick, but since having to stay in my room all day would send me completely and utterly nuts, I'd like to get to the lab while it's still quiet. Yesterday I got in early and got the compound to my supervisor and then I had to get the copies of the paper ready for the post. I kept turning up small mistakes and I was not all that happy, but I got out my midday. I went to fighter-training which meant I could lie around in the sun. I was swinging between feeling fine and then feeling like I was about to pass out.
I came home and spent the rest of the day at home eating and sleeping. I chatted on ICQ for a bit which was nice and then another sleep marathon. I'm not over it yet, but maybe I'm through the worst of it.
Oh yes, and mystery solved too. Qcacti~1.doc was the plan for the Queer Collaborations (QC) action whose title had been chewed up as an email attachment. Much less mysterious than I first thought. QC this year is on 9th - 13th July and I would like to go. I'd also like to give a lecture if I can, this year I had planned to talk about "The illusion of the binary opposites", where people (and that definitely includes queers) think in terms of either black or white, and thereby discriminate against those who fall into the "grey" category such as bisexuals, transgendered and intersexed people.
