Life is busy as usual. This evening I gave my supervisor the copy of the new paper and I've almost got Chapters 2 and 3 fixed which is good. Thursday was coffee with the girls, but I was amazingly flustered after running around the lab setting up experiments with the help of the American exchange student. I got to coffee so flustered that Bridget seriously asked if I was on crack (crack cocaine is a very difficult synthesis, something like amphetamines on the other hand… just kidding). I had bought coffee the previous evening and my morning coffee probably was what got me hyper.
Wednesday was fighter training which was nice, there were about 6 girls crashed around chatting and not a lot of fighting going on since Adam wasn't there. Buffy was the main talking point for that afternoon. There's a new girl Jola (pronounced Yola) who's been coming to training, she's cute and quite friendly, and also 6 foot tall, so I feel somewhat less out of place.
On the topic of height and bodies, will be costuming nights coming up soon because we have the next feast on July 21st. This is where I tend to worry somewhat with my non-conventional body shape, not really my body, just the complete absence of breasts. Ok, so that is a slight overstatement, hormones have done their best with adding body tissue and fat and on someone say 5'5 and an extra 40 pounds, it'd probably look quite ok, alas not on my frame. Suffice to say I get quite paranoid whenever someone is measuring me up for a costume. Lets just say that I expect my simple long red dress is going to get pulled out of the cupboard again.
Yesterday I received my amended birth certificate which was cool (this time at least it came directly to me), so now I have to get out to Queenbeyan during the week and get to the RTA for my drivers license. Today I also caught busses down to Kambah and picked up my arrows which was good. They're wooden shafts with black and purple fletches and I'm looking forward to trying them out on Sunday.
