Yes, I'm finally back on the wagon…

I'm back getting this whole diary thing happening. I would have done updates much more often, except that my network connection is still dead, and my A drive is chewing my disks up. I figured I'd back up my thesis using my portable Zip drive and cart the diary entries over to the lab on the return journey. It's still the same old boring crap that I've always put in my diary, but now people can see that my McDonalds style of writing "Over 475 diary entries served" is coming alone unchanged. At the moment I have to make a break for a BBQ, but I'll be back don't you fear… Muwahahaha!

8:25 pm - Ick… so I'm back… I hate how these group things tend to run on forever. I was hoping for an afternoon BBQ and then to be able to go home. Instead I spent 5 hours sitting around being bored and talking to the same people I see five days out of seven anyway. This was the farewell for the visiting professor and his family. Tomorrow is hopefully a sleep in and then archery and armouring.

Friday night was very cool. I walked into town at about 5 pm, originally intending to buy groceries. I then remembered that Ruth and Emma had been booked in to get their nipples pierced that afternoon, and so I rang then to see how they were faring. They were coming into town with Andrew (from DX), so I had some sushi and we all met up. We went (after plenty of indecision) to the Phoenix bar which is grungy but Ok and had a few drinks. Jenni joined us after a while and we all went to Montezuma's to have something to eat. Jenni (who doesn't usually drink) had one drink and was flirting away to the waitress to an amazing degree and the waitress showed us her double dragon tattoo across the top of her bum as well as coming back to our table and having cake with us.
After Jenni got her phone number, we wandered around Civic not certain what to do. Emma, Jenni and myself went to Jenni's place while Ruth and Andrew went home (~10 pm). We had bought some scotch (which I usually loathe) and were kicking back at Jenni's place drinking that, I tuned her radio and found this amazing station playing wall-to-wall blues for the whole time we were there. I was wearing a really annoying top and eventually ended up topless and bra-less and so did Jenni because I was giving her a back-rub.
We were crashed out on the floor and then I lit up some of the candles that were there, put on some incense and after turning the lights out, danced around to the blues on the radio with my hair falling down over my breasts… Krissy (DX) came around about 1 am to chat after she had finished work and so it was nice. She and Jenni were eating chocolate on water crackers and then Jenni dropped a blob of warm, half-melted chocolate into my bellybutton… fortunately Krissy was kind enough to remove it for me. ^_~ About 3:30 am we were starting to fade and so I got a lift home with Krissy and Emma and I crashed out at 4 am.
It was just such a cool night, I haven't had such a relaxed but enjoyable time like that in ages. No pressure to do anything, just take things as they were and they turned out wonderfully.

During the week I sent and later received an email from Jenny T, one of the girls from the Antijen Adult list who I liked, but hadn't chatted to in a while. I also said hello to a young TS in a distant part of Oz, and passed her the URL for "Lean On Me" which she seemed to love (you can tell people who are really into it and understand it, because they read it all in one sitting…), and she wrote back which was nice. I also dropped an email to someone I didn't know on a diary site and they turned out to be another girl whom I used to know from Antijen. She is about to leave for North America to start her Ph.D. which was amazingly cool.

Sometime this week, Mum will be coming over to drop off my bike and to take me out to Queenbeyan so that I can get my drivers license changed over. I'll be happy to see her, but it reminds me that I do not see my father much at all these days… perhaps seeing me physically is too much for him, I wish it could be otherwise.
