Of late, the Crowded House "Best of" CD "Recurring Dream" has become quite a theme. I leave for Sydney today (after some initial confusion as to whether it actually was Friday) to see Allison off on Saturday from the airport. It's been a dizzying month, similar to June 2000, where I had to move, prepare samples for Belgium and write a presentation for the conference (amongst other things) all in a limited time-span, but I made it through. As it turns out, a working visa application to the US might take a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks, so even if this Professor got back with an application tomorrow, I might not be able to leave until mid October to early November. This is slightly good news since it takes "some" of the pressure of submission off and means I might even be able to have a small holiday. It still leaves me on track to be overseas by the end of the year however.
