People Are People
Depeche Mode
Depeche Mode is a great 80's band that has traveled and made itself known in the 90's as well.
They originally consisted of four guys- David Gahan, Martin Gore, Andy Fletcher, and Alan Wilder.
these boys took their synthesizers, and their keyboards, and their pots and pans and made music.
They used very interesting things for percussion such as bicycle wheels, awnings, and sheet metal.
In the 1980's, they released many popular songs including "People Are People," "Master and Servant,"
"Just can't Get Enough," "Strangelove," and "New Life." Later, in the 1990's, they released the album
Violator whoch included "Personal Jesus" and "Enjoy the Silence."
Depeche Mode has released a new album!!! It is entitled Ultra and
contains the new single, Barrel of a Gun. The single is out, and I suggest you take a listen.
It's very different from Depeche Mode's usual pop sound. It follows the more gothic sound of their last
album, Songs of Faith and Devotion. The video can now be seen on MTV. The album gets a good review from me,
it's total mood music. It makes you feel. Marty wrote some great lyrics, as always, and Dave sure knows how
to sing them.
