Too Much Time On Our Hands

by Explicit

Last month's OUTSIDE! magazine caused a little controversy amongst the administration, to put it lightly. The pointing fingers, the suspensions, the expulsion trials, the police involvement....what the fuck? The school administrators are so proud that they've found their two individuals to blame, to deceive, and to deface. The next time around, when they find no student to pile consequences upon, what will they do? Bitch about kids with bad attitudes and "too much time on their hands."
Too much time on our hands? What the fuck does that mean? It's the sorry excuse that the teachers ignorantly conclude: they don't want to understand, they just want to push away any opposing opinion, and to cover that close-minded action, their rationalization is that the kids "have too much time on their hands." Teachers, thriving on the artificial authority the system provides them, half-heartedly (if that) do their job, then whole-heartedly punish the student who crosses them? That's what I call too much time on one's hands.
No, we've taken the time to come together by choice to publish and distribute our common views of this administration, of this fucking system, to have a voice. This magazine has been proven accurate last month with the pioneering spirits Stryfe and Krimson, and will be true again as Volume Two is distributed and the school's disciplinary technicians race around like heroin junkies looking for their next fix, going through their own withdrawal: a target to name responsible. 1
