I am a 37 year old CD living in Northern England. I have been cross dressing since I was about 8 years old. Like most CD's I don't really understand why I started, all I know is that I enjoy it and it does not harm anyone else.
I am married to a very understanding wife who let's me dress up without complaint and sometimes helps me with choosing and buying clothes etc. She knew about my dressing for years before we married and I think it's important to be honest with your spouse. I have had many e-mails from CD's who hide this fact from their partners and spend the rest of their lives living a lie or have a major upset when their partner finds out later. My wife knew before we were married, had the choice to opt out, and was not under any illusion that this was something which was going to go away.
My choice of clothing could usually be described as casual but smart and I like the typical office girl look. I have plenty opportunities to review the latest styles as I work in a large office. I guess that I'm not the only CD to suffer in silence as the I envy the girls opportunity to wear such feminine clothing at work whilst being stuck in the usual shirt and tie.
I also adore Bridal wear and think that a wedding gown is surely the ultimate in femininity. I don't get the chance to dress like this very often - the last time I tried my wife's sister came over unexpectedly and caught me wearing one of the Bridesmaids dresses worn at her own wedding. Imagine trying to explain your way out of that one !!!.
I have never been out dressed although I do admire those that have the confidence to do so. The closest that I've come to this is going out for short trips in the car which is hardly the same. I have thought about going on a short holiday dressed- to a suitably discreet location and hope to organise it soon. Ideas for suitable places are welcome.
Like many cross dressers I have found it to be a lonely existence for years I never had anyone else other that my wife to discuss it with until I discovered the web and began to chat to people by e-mail. I love to hear from people about their cross dressing experiences and I'm particularly interested in stories about going out dressed for the first time maybe it will give me the confidence to try it myself. If you have any interesting stories then mail me
Well that's enough about me for now - please call again Jane
