Do you have a question? | I'm here to help! | Useful Links: | ||
I'm frequently asked questions either in the USENET
newsgroup, alt.fashion.crossdressing, or in the
Transchat.sister.org Chat Room, The Pink Room, which deserve
a more comprehensive answer than either of those
venues permit.
I've created this set of pages to contain those
questions, and their answers.

This page is within the Yahoo/Geocities Adult area. There are pictures below that illustrate the tucking technique I use, and to illustrate this, they contain some images of male genetalia. If you happen to be underage, or have no interest in male crossdressing techniques, please use your browser's return or back button NOW. It is not my intention to shock or appeal to your purient interests with these pictures.

I'm, as of this writing (September 2005), in my early 60s, and have been practicing this for several decades. Likely that's maybe 5 decades. I'm telling you what seems to have worked well for me, and hasn't apparently had ill effects (again, for me). Your Mileage May Vary. If it hurts, quit. Prices were approximate and what was available as of this time. They are subject to change, of course.
Still, there's not much better I've found to hide unsightly bulges in some snug, side zip flat front stretch slacks or other garments. Many men who wear "Speedo" style swimwear might get a few less giggles if they tried this, too.
I wonder whether this would help reduce drag(???) for Olympic class swimmers?
The September 2005 updates include pictures to illustrate some of the more in-obvious points (helping make these points less obvious is what it's about, right?).
Tucking is any one of several techniques used to hide or diminish the appearance of male genitalia under clothing. Other techniques include special garments (gaffs, etc.), and taping.
Hanes Her Way microfiber... note the "tagless" design.
These are lightweight fabric, dry very quickly even if hand laundered. There is a cotton crotch panel suitably placed for men's wear when tucking. The cotton panel dries more slowly than the rest of the garment, of course.
(Priced 2 for around $6 at One Hanes Place)
Body By Victoria microfiber. This fabric is much heavier in weight or thickness, and these may take several hours to dry when hand laundered. As the body of the garment is a double layer of microfiber, there is no cotton crotch panel, but the double layer garment seems to provide sufficient absorbency. (Priced at around $14, at Victoria's Secret)
Victoria's Secret Angels Collection Low Rise Rio Thong. This is by far the lightest of these three panties. It dries about as quickly as the HHW panty above. There is a cotton crotch panel which is suitably placed for men's wear when tucking. The cotton panel dries more slowly than the rest of the garment, of course. (Priced at around $14, at Victoria's Secret)
Of course, many other manufacturers, brands, and styles can be very suitable. I only showed these examples because:
Here are some "Before and After", or more properly, "Untucked and Tucked" pictures to show the power of this simple technique, using ordinary panties.
I use the following procedure:
If you compare various brands of panties, you'll find that some brands are significantly wider than others. This will yield greater comfort. Some unbranded or store brand panties will be very narrow in the crotch, which will be uncomfortable.
I find the Bali (formerly Henson Kickernick) Hikini and related styles are very comfortable for me. You can find them at One Hanes Place, or at the Leggs Hanes Bali Playtex Outlet stores, where you can see the items up close and personal.
Remember that panties are sized by hip dimensions, not waist dimensions. Use the website or catalog size charts accordingly, based on your hip size. This means I can wear a size 6 in name brands (my waist measurement is about 32 inches, and indicates I'd need a size 7 or so, but since my hips (where I wear my panties) are only 40 inches or so, size 6 works well for me, because you want the panty snug).
Body By Victoria styles, made of TACTEL microfiber and other fabrics, work very well, but even the much lighter Hanes Her Way microfiber styles can provide enough support if you're not into athletics.
If I'm not going to be doing athletic things, some thongs will work wonderfully and can be very comfortable.
A technique that may help with this is to gather the scrotal sac skin together from the bottom, slowly forcing the testicles higher until they move up their canals past the penis.
Note that the two bulges are unoccupied scrotal sacs - the testicles are still up in their canals where I pushed them.
I can often hold the penis in this position with my "butt cheeks" while preparing to pull up the panties.
With a bit of practice, it takes only a few seconds to perform the tucking procedure. It's much quicker than the subsequent pulling up of panty-hose, for example.
I'm quite comfortable "tucked" like this. I am most comfortable sleeping in this fashion. For me, when not tucked, things can become uncomfortable as they move around during the day or as I toss and turn at night.
If you are not an adult, or have no interest in an arcane technique used by some (well, one, anyway) male crossdressers, PLEASE do not continue to the following link.
Here I've separated this part of the discussion to speed up page loading, and to remove graphic content not necessary for the higher level discussion.
There are those who do not recommend tucking, or if tucking, do not recommend that you use the procedure frequently. There are several reasons put forward:
This is the same argument that used to be put forward in favor of boxer shorts instead of jockey shorts. Ask your doctor, and search the literature. Most current research does not show a significant difference, but if you are trying to conceive, why take the risk.
I know of a person who's told me (and others) that they had testicular cancer which they believe was caused or aggrevated by their tucking.
I haven't done the research, but I wonder if there is a different incidence of testicular cancers among (for example) Australian men living in Hobart, Tasmania vs. Darwin on the North coast. I suspect if there was, the northern parts of Australia would be much less populated. A similar comparison could be drawn between men in Alaska vs. South Florida... and you'd have to have suitable controls for other variables...
Yes, you could. As I said above, experiment and learn gently, and if it hurts, quit! This condition could in some cases be remedied only by removal of the injured testicle before gangrene spreads.
This cotton piece is included in panties to aid in absorbtion of moisture. When tucked, the end of the male urethera is positioned over that cotton panel, where the panel can help absorb any dampness or moisture that might otherwise mark your outer garments.
