To maximize everyone's enjoyment, Bayside Bare Boys has established guidelines of good sense, courtesy and acceptable behavior. Respect all guidelines set by BBB and by the host of an event. If you do not, you may be asked to leave the event and your membership may be revoked.
A. Conduct at Events
1. Nudity. Be nude at all times (weather permitting). BBB is not a clothing-optional group, although footwear is allowed for comfort and protection.
2. Food. For potlucks, bring enough food and drink for three to six people. This applies to members as well as guests.
3. Public Displays. Be discreet about hugging and kissing, especially in front of homes and in driveways. Some hosts live in conservative areas and do not want to have problems with neighbors.
4. Sexual Expression. BBB is a naturist group and not a sex club. We do, however, acknowledge that members may want to get "better acquainted." Each event has its individual guidelines for acceptable sexual behavior (either not allowed- a social event, or allowed only in a designated "playroom"- a discreet event). Respect these guidelines, which are set by the host and are published in advance. We want to keep the status of openly nude beaches and National Forests as is; thus we ask that members refrain from sexual behavior during events held at these locations.
5. Property. Respect the rules of the host (e.g., off-limits rooms or furniture). You are responsible for any damage you or your guests may cause at a host's home.
6. Smoking and Drugs. Smoking outdoors is permitted at the host's discretion. Smoking indoors is not allowed. Possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
7. Speak Up! Do not let others ruin your fun. If you see unacceptable behavior kindly report it to the offending party, the host, or any BBB Steering Committee member present.
B. Confidentiality
1. Membership Information. Do not release members' names, addresses, phone numbers or any other personal information outside of BBB without the consent of the member involved.
2. Mailings. Do not show or give the Nudesletter or Membership Directory to anyone outside BBB. (However, note that the BBB exchanges newsletters with other nudist groups, mostly in the San Francisco-Monterey Bay Areas.)
3. Photographs. Be discreet when taking photographs at events. Do not photograph anyone against their wishes. If in doubt, ask for permission. Do not publish or distribute pictures taken at group events or share them in any way that would embarrass the subject or the group.
C. Guests
1. Explain the guidelines. Make sure your guests read these guidelines or are made aware of them before they attend an event. A guest may attend no more than three events before being expected to apply for membership.
2. Arrive with your guest. Accompany guests to an event. If you cannot, then contact the host in advance to give him the name of the expected guest.
3. Respect hosts. It may be intrusive for a guest to contact the host directly. Do not give a host's phone number to a guest. Instead, have the guest contact you for the details he needs.
