SAVANNAH

The book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil inspired a trip to Savannah in January 1995. Upon visiting, it has become one of my favorite cities, right alongside Charleston, SC. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to take my parents there upon meeting up with them in Charleston.

The bulk of these pictures are of the architecture found in the city of Savannah. There really isn't any other place like it. Several movies have been filmed in the city, including the portions of Forrest Gump where he's sitting on the bench. I also discovered while on this trip that Hollywood actors and actresses like to come to Savannah in January because the weather's warm and they're not really hounded. In fact, while I was there Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and Melanie Griffith were in town. Enjoy the pictures below.
