Pink Village 3 years old

3 years - it's quite a long period concerning Internet
time. And it's certainly a very good reason for celebrating:)
The
3rd anniversary was celebrated for 2 days late January. On Saturday January
29th there was a birthday party where just anybody in AW was invited to
party with the pink villagers. We gathered outside the Pink Parade night
club at 21:00 VRT, and none of the guests knew exactly what the next hour
(which actually turned into 4 hours...) would include. All the guests were
dressed up as Helmut - for this occasion Mauz had even shaved off all her
beautiful long hair. No wonder the Mayor at first sight though there was
a cache problem:)
Idealist had prepared for some impressive decorations,
that not even the other Councillors knew. On arrival we were greeted by
a professional "airport intercom with echo effects-" voice, saying "Happy
Birthday, Pink Village!" And then the birthday midi started playing (for
those who did not have to restart AW 3 times to hear the sounds, hehe).
And what's a birthday party without a cake? For a whole week Idealist had
been whipping cream in order to bake the largest birthday cake ever seen
at Queer Square. Bille blew the 3 candles, and all guests were served a
piece. Or crumbles. And everyone was amazed by Idealist's baking skills:)
There was also a huge "Bille - thank you for the 3 last years!" decoration,
which made Mr Mayor very happy, but that after the party turned into a
dilemma since the decoration had been built by Idealist by using Bille's
account...:)
After
the "way too much cake for avatars on diet", we entered the Pink Parade
night club for some dancing and drinks. A few more guests joined the party,
and after a while the party moved to Bille's rebuilt villa where we hang
out in the garden for hours. Everyone undressed (see picture), and jumped
into the tiny pool. It was a little embarrassing for the host when one
of the guests announced that the water had not been replaced for more than
2 years, but in VR it takes only a second to refresh the water, and everyone
went safely back into the wet element. People came and left, with the risk
of forgetting a few, Idealist, Eljay, Mauz, Bille, MjrDad, Pipz, Chilkoot,
MALOX, Jd, was among the guests. 4 hours of cake, greetings, dancing, "guess
which one of us is the right Idealist contest", mattarotti's, and so much
more... it certainly was a successful 3rd anniversary celebration:)
New Council
On Sunday January 30th, which is the exact Foundation
Day, we arranged the traditional PV gathering in the Rainbow Garden to
introduce the new PV Council. After the exhausting celebration the day
before, the turn-out was rather poor.
Bille
gave a very brief speech, especially thanking Eljay for being a PV Councillor
for nearly 3 years! Councillor Eljay chose to retire, handing over his
chair to someone else for the coming year. Then Bille played the piano,
and everyone song along to the "happy birthday" tune, btw poorly played,
but nicely sung:)
Then the new PV Council was presented; Idealist, running
for her 2nd year, CyberBoy (1st year), and Bille, the Mayor you will never
get rid of...
