| Went to the early service (0800) this
morning. John was preaching. He has started a series on the names of
Jesus from Isaiah 9. THis morning he dealt with "Wonderful Counselor".
He looked at the way Jesus, the Wonderful Counselor, dealt with 3
people: The rich man in Mat 19, Zacchaeus in Luke 19, and the Samaritan
woman in John 4. He was never judgmental, and he put his hand out to
these people, no matter how undeserved they were. I was particularly
taken with the way Jesus invited himself to Zacchaeus' home for a meal.

Methodist's web site.) But otherwise had a quiet day. My sister Carol phoned to say Hi, and then I got a call from my love, Glen. He sounded so cheerful. He talked about a speech he has been asked to do on Dec 1st as a prisoner living with AIDS. He's never given a speech before. I am hoping to be there to hear him and give him support. |
