The Original came from
a collection of religious clipart.
- I used Corel Trace to extract the outline from dove.gif, and convert
it to a vector graphic.
- Then experimented with creating highlights and shadows in Corel
Draw, using the Blend Function from black to white. I have never had
success with this technique in the past. Too impatient I guess
- Applied a gradient fill to the body.
- Added a grey background for later use in making it transparent.
I found by adding the transparency to the corel file, it made for
less degradation in the conversion to transparent gif, and jpg.
- Opened the .cdr file in PSP to maintain its integrity, and converted
to both a .gif, and .jpg
- In the jpg I experimented with several backgrounds using PSP, and
left the clouds just for now. The background can be changed easily
according to usage.
